7.2.1.6.3 Permanent magnet properties of Cu-Ni-Fe alloys as dependent on the preparation technique

Abstract

This chapter provides a survey of permanent magnet properties of Cu-Ni-Fe alloys in relation to the preparation technique. Demagnetization curve, recoil curves, reversible permeability and energy product of Cu-Ni-Fe alloys are plotted. The permanent magnet properties of Cu-Ni-Fe alloys as dependent on the quenching temperature and on the angle between the direction of magnetization measurement and the direction of cold-rolling of a sample are shown. Influence of aging temperature on the permanent magnet properties, influence of elastic tension on the demagnetization curve, influence of aging time on the permanent magnet properties, influence of various kinds of cold working on the demagnetization curve, influence of aging time and aging temperature on intrinsic coercive force, influence of cold rolling on the permanent magnet properties and influence of compression applied during the isothermal heat treatment on the magnetic anisotropy and on the permanent magnet properties of Cu-Ni-Fe alloys are illustrated.
