Equilibrium Thermal Properties of Polymer

Abstract

The equilibrium thermal properties of polymeric materials in solid-state and in melt-state are discussed here. The properties studied here include vibrational heat capacities, equilibrium melting temperature, equilibrium heat of fusion and thermodynamic functions. The polymeric materials studied here are polyethylene (PE), poly(vinyl methyl ether) (PVME), poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT), poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and starch.
