Soft magnetic ferrites

Abstract

This chapter discusses on soft magnetic ferrites. The magnetic properties such as initial permeability, saturation magnetization, coercive force, core loss, resistivity of soft magnetic ferrites are indicated. Relationships between frequency, composition and initial permeability of soft magnetic ferrites are illustrated. Application of ferrite material is also discussed. Frequency dependence of the complex permeability of soft magnetic ferrite is illustrated. Effects of temperature and oxygen partial pressure on the phase diagram of soft magnetic ferrites are illustrated. Effects of additives on relative loss factor of ferrite are illustrated. Sintering temperature dependence of initial permeability and sintered density in ferrites is illustrated. Temperature dependence of the core loss of ferrite is also illustrated. Effects of additives on temperature dependence, stress sensitivity of inductance are illustrated in this chapter.
