7.2.1.7.3 Permanent magnet properties of Fe-Pt alloys as dependent on the preparation technique

Abstract

This chapter provides a survey of magnetic properties of Fe-Pt alloys in relation to the preparation techniques. The preparation techniques include homogenization (HG), casting (CA), aging (AG), cold working (CW), and water quenching (WQ). Hysteresis curve and optimum permanent magnet properties as dependent on composition of Fe-Pt are shown. Influence of aging temperature Ta on the permanent magnetic properties, influence of aging time ta on the permanent magnetic properties, hysteresis curves for as cast, as filling powder pressed to contact and, compacted filing powder aged at 400 ºC for 1h of FePt and influence of annealing time ta on the intrinsic coercive force MHc of Fe-Pt are figured out.
