7.2.1.2.2.1 Survey of the properties of Fe-Ni and Fe-Mn base magnet alloys

Abstract

This chapter presents a survey of the properties of Fe-Ni and Fe-Mn base magnet alloys. Martensitic transformation temperature in several Fe-Ni and Fe-Mn magnet alloys as determined by the dilatometric method for a heating rate of 120ºC/h is compiled in a table. Equilibrium phase diagram of Fe-Ni and Fe-Mn, saturation magnetization 4πMs versus composition of Fe-Mn-Ti and Fe-Ni, contour maps of 4πMs and BHcof Fe-Mn-Cu-Ti are shown.
