7.1.2.3.2 Magnetocrystalline anisotropy

Abstract

This chapter contains figures which illustrate magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Fe-Si, Fe-Al, and Fe-Si-Al alloys. Magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant is plotted as a function of Si concentration of Fe-Si alloys, determined by torque measurements on single-crystal disks at room temperature. Domain wall parameters for Fe-Si alloys are illustrated. Magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant is plotted as a function of Al concentration of Fe-Al alloys and magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant is plotted as a function of alloy composition of Fe-Si-Al alloys. Temperature dependence of magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant for Fe-Si, Fe-Al and Fe-Si-Al alloys are illustrated.
