10.7 Non-linear effects

Abstract

This chapter discusses literature on non-linear effects in current-voltage characteristics. Second and third harmonic generation as a function of the applied ac current in material are shown. It was indicated that the source of the non-linearity was quantum interference. It has been investigated that the application of a magnetic field affected the non-linear I-V characteristic of the wires.
