Plasticity and its influencing parameters

Abstract

This chapter contains an introductory idea about hot and cold plasticity along with its influencing parameters. Influence of material, material condition, stress condition, temperature and strain rate on plasticity of different alloys and heavy metals are discussed. Theoretical modeling for the influence of chemical composition, deformation conditions, strain rate and temperature on plasticity of different alloys and heavy metals are also studied. The various calculations on forming limit of non-ferrous alloys are discussed for hot rolling and hot extrusion methods.
