Structural, thermal and mechanical properties of Gd-Nd-Ni-Mg alloy

Abstract

This chapter provides the structural, thermal and mechanical properties of Gd-Nd-Ni-Mg alloys containing different ratios of the element. Glass transition temperature, crystallization temperature, liquidus temperature, reduced glass transition temperature, supercooled liquid region, differential scanning calorimetry curve, differential thermal analysis curve, enthalpy of crystallization, X-ray diffraction profile, yield stress, yield strain, fracture strength, fracture strain, specific strength, critical diameter and stress-strain curve are notable among the properties reported here.
