Structural, thermal and mechanical properties of Al-Co-Ni-Y alloys

Abstract

This chapter provides structural, thermal and mechanical properties of Al-Co-Ni-Y alloys containing different ratios of the element. X-ray diffraction profile, DSC curve, thermal expansion coefficient, glass transition temperature, asymptotic value of glass transition temperature, crystallization onset temperature, crystallization peak temperature, crystallization temperature, crystallization enthalpy, Avrami plot, kinetic parameters, eutectic melting temperature, liquidus temperature, strength and fragility parameter are notable among the properties reported here.
